About Membership

Unlike most social service nonprofits, The Miracles Club is a 501c(3) “Membership Nonprofit,” operating under democratic principles. Members may attend regular meetings, vote on a Board of Directors, and provide direction for the organization’s activities and sustainability. The “Social Model of Recovery” proposes that lived experience is the authority, providing organizational wisdom and guidance to support dismantling of systemic racism and oppression. The staff and administration of The Miracles Club have positions of “service” to the members and participants.

Only paid members can participate in the member meetings and are allowed to vote.  Members vote on a Slate of Directors annually, and are eligible to participate on committees established by The Board.  Committees include but are not limited to the Membership Committee and the Events Committee. 

There is a monthly fee of $10 or annual fee of $100. All membership fees will be used for the continuation of The Miracles Club’s programs and services.
